Team Mom Information:

DWFA is looking for dedicated parents to help manage the teams. Each football and cheerleading team should have one designated "Team Mom" (or dad!!!) and may choose a co-Team Mom to assist. The team mom is responsible for almost all of the duties of running the team off the field. You will need to complete such things as preparing your Football coach for NGYFL certification, communicating with parents about game schedules, snack schedules, concession stand shifts, etc... You will be responsible for any team finances and you will be needed to help arrange your team banquet. You will be given plenty of guidance along the way! This role is for a very dedicated and organized individual. I will assist you in any way possible and will offer plenty of training, help, and advice. There will be a mandatory team mom meeting on August 10th for all Team Moms. Many things are changing this year so, this meeting is mandatory to anyone wanting to be a Team Mom regardless of whether or not you have done this in the past.

We appreciate our great Team Moms more then you know as we all believe that it is YOU that keeps these coaches and teams organized and running smoothly. Thank you for getting involved and wanting to help our children have a great season! I look forward to meeting with each of you and having a fantastic year!

Please email me with any questions at hoyateammom@bellsouth.net

Thanks!

Hoyas Team Mom Coordinator

MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of the Due West Football and Cheerleading Association is to provide a positive, fun and safe program for the youth of our great community. We feel that the attitude, actions, and decision of our coaches, parents and board members should exemplify this mission. We at Due West strive to create an environment to mentor our young men and women by teaching them respect, responsibility, leadership, self esteem and aid in building their self confidence. We believe that the lessons learned here will remain with our youth far beyond their days with our program.

The Due West Hoyas junior football program partnered with the Harrison Hoyas in 2003 in order to provide greater continuity for our players as they move through the system.
